New content tends to unlock way too early in the game.  Youre certainly not the 1st person to get frustrated by the difficulty of some new content unlock.  Youre on the right path for sure with focusing on getting to UNM.  What is your roster?  We may be able to provide some help on that.  As for events, if youre not spending a bunch then you need to be very selective about what ones you engage with.  Im end game and still wont do everything because of the cost / investment ratio. 

Why are you stringing him along like a little boy? Just tell him straight up that everything’s fine—are you secretly trying to get him to reach for his wallet? Why be a hypocrite? Those events are expensive and resource-intensive. They’re aimed at wealthy paying players. Why don’t you just tell him politely that you’re sorry, but maybe he should go play a different game because he doesn’t have enough money? How many posts would you have saved if you’d just said that right away? Do you know what 70 euros for a Forge Pass is? That’s an exclusive full game—a brand-new title on PS5. You’re selling the chance to get something here! Do you understand? A chance. So please, since some people are taking the trouble to come here and write, at least have enough respect to enlighten them and explain the situation. If not, then why are you here, and what good are your posts anyway? You’re offering a menu, but you’re hiding the price tag.
