Lol, it has nothing to do with you personally. A couple of reasons they'd do that...dropping some to get easier fights, just getting one battle for the energy and dailies. That said, pocket the win and move on.
Personally, I use all my tokens everyday, I just hate letting any resource expire.
But once I've got my 5 wins I'll give away any leftovers as freebies. Just quit the instant I can after matching up.
