What's the point?

What's the point of building resistance on a champ like Titus only to have Chimera have a 3% to strip his buffs? 

What's the point of using the relic hand of uncreation to further try to protect from that sort of ridiculous rng only for the rng to once again fall on the side of chimera and for his buffs to be stripped?

I'm just tired of it......so very tired.
