IIRC, 3v3 scoring was changed quite a while ago due to complaints by people who won 2 of 3 matches but still lost points. After that change the maximum point spread became 7/13, so the lowest points per team became 7, and the worst you could do was +1 for going 2 of 3.  

However, today, I am seeing 3v3 matchups for 5 points per team and 6 points per team.  Haven't seen that in (literally) years.
