My best and most hopeful guess is that they just threw out these Tournaments and Events to keep us busy while they focus on releasing 1.12.

It make some sense, since they will probably focus on a smooth release over balancing a tournament. That being said, I could be very very wrong.

I am 6th and barely got the third reward. It is definetly harder and the rewards are very very bad. So bad in fact, Tournament and Championship, that it really makes me think I might be right about the release.

May I ask what stage you were farming, I'm making the assumption you were referring to the Ice golem tournament?

I was 1st in my group toutnament, reached 2k points used about 5 refill energy, I had refills from week quests too, and 500 energy from 90 daily login rewards. Behind me was someone with 1500 and 1200 points. 10h left to end tournament, I went to sleep. Now I logged in and what? I'm 2nd, one guy reached in 10h 2,7k points, and this was even not a guy just behind me, someone totally new on the board, a p2w and clicker user player. 

I'm furiously angry as hell.

Yes but unfortunately it doesn't seem to be real new content only 'new' champions. And from their track record i assume there will be some reskins with sub-par skills that no one will ever uses. Another 'update' no one needs nor asked for.

If you farm golem for 3/4* artefacts, you won't even make a third of the points for the same energy.

Without buying too much energy, Tournaments like this become possible only starting Ice Golem lvl 13 (4 to 6*).

I understand that when I am higher up in the stages that I would make more chance and that things would go faster. But when I am 10th in a tournament, it means that a lot, the most are doing much worse than I did. What you are actually saying is that events are only for topplayers. I don't think that is right. I don't expect to win, I don't need big prices, but I think that with this ranking I would have deserved something.

More so, when I was a younger player, I did even better in tournaments than nowadays

you can win easy, you shoudn t be a top player for be in hight rank  If you are lucky with RNG (for example i droped a lots of beers and a fews items). you can win easier and maybe you must spend more energy in dungeons.

thank you, but I spend enough energy in dungeons. And as for ranking, it's not that easy to get brews anymore. Besides that I also need to develop the factions, as well as teams for every different dungeon and campaign. I can't do it all at once.
