Will pass this on.  I 100% agree as well.  Swift Parry and Deflection have been power crept into extinction and the fact they are extra expensive to craft is a separate shin kick.

Forge some GD gear you degenerate.  Maxed Magisteel is an affront I will not stand for.

Yo Plarium: Do something with the Forge.  The Gear Set Power Creep is so intense that the 9 piece sets are now sidelining the Doom Tower & Forge Pass sets, to say nothing of Swift Parry and Deflection, which have been mediocre for at least 2 yrs at this point.

If you won't do something about it, please at least stop putting Core Hammers out there as if they are valuable rewards. They are garbage.

Honestly, I still try not to let it max.  With the quick forge that shouldn't be a problem anymore. 

Also we should get rid of the advanced quest to craft Resilience (and maybe even Perception).

Generally speaking substantial buffs outside of a few champs doesn't really happen often (basically ever) so the Forge getting interesting for those past midgame would be nice. It's Lethal and to a lesser extent perception/affinity breaker for a lot of us on the forum, I'd suspect

Even Lethal is totally outclassed by Merciless.  

It's great, but I still much prefer Lethal + Feral or Lethal + Stoneskin on a lot of arena nuker builds. Not being able to get the ignore defense on Merciless with one of the critical arena sets attached to it is problematic. 

Totally outclassed feels like a stretch to me.

I definitely agree with you for PVP-first builds, and I am definitely still using Lethal gear.  Heck, I still have Savage gear on a quite a few toons.  However, for PVE-first builds, it is a totally different story.

I initially built Marius in Lethal & Supersonic as a PVP Nuker, but I was somewhat disappointed with his performance in Hydra & Chimera.  Then, I switched him to 6 pcs Merciless and the extra 10% Ignore Defense plus the CD Reduction made a huge impact, and he still stomps in PVP.

i would be worried about marius without stoneskin unless youre going first/have strong reaction but if youre making it work, more power to you 

as for PvE I'm team Merciless or Slayer, for sure.  

Agreed, core hammers need a purpose again. A new S-Tier Forge set or buffs to outdated sets would refresh progression.
