Random curiousity

Just random morning thoughts, what part of the damage is random? When checking champs damage scalings on HH and enemy stats from stages tool it gives solid stats, no wiggle room, yet the damage you do is randomised, so how come? What is making it random, are enemy stats randomised?

My best guess is its like rpg weapons .. dmg range is main stats for the skill x damage multiplier , then add in a range (if the result is 100 , range would be like 95-105)

But thats just a guess because i also notice what you mentionned and with how close the dmg is each time .. my guess made some sort of sense but ... its probably not why lol >.<

This is pretty close.  Range is -+10% on "expected damage".  Of course you need to factor in defense of enemy, masteries, etc when finding the expected damage.

Yeah, slight built in RNG, plus masteries like Helmsmasher can play a pretty big role.
