Accuracy v Resistance Question

Hello

Lets say I have a champ that has put some buffs on the entire team.  Now, an opponent is trying to remove the buffs.  Which stats on my team work to prevent the buff removal?  Is it accuracy or resistance, and is it based on the champ that has the buff that is beimg removed or the champ that placed the buff?

your accuracy is used vs their resistance to determine if your negative effects land.

your resistance is used vs their accuracy to determine if their negative effects (of which buff removal is one) land on you.

Except in special cases such as irresistible effects, placing debuffs, removing buffs, and some other effects like turn meter reduction, is always based on the accuracy of the instigator vs the resistance of the individual target(s).

But is it the resistance of the champ that placed the buff or the champ the buff is on that counts?

The latter.

Here, to help you understand the requirements either way, here's the actual graph. Note that the curve never touches 0 or 100, this is because you can get 3%-ed either way. In other words, you have all accuracy needed, opponent might resist it anyways with the 3% check. Inversely, you should resist everything, opponent might debuff you anyways with the other 3%.

But aside from those exceptions, you can see that accuracy (horizontal axis) will more often than not win over resistance (vertical axis) if it's at least -20.
