Does Cruelty defense reductiom stuck with Gnut A3?

My Geo has 3* Blessing, which would be 10% defense reduction. If I use Gnut A3 will it reduce 40% or does defense reduction have a cap?

From what I understand, the defense reduction from both applies the same effect, so they'll both work towards the same goal but only decrease the defense up to their individual caps. The max you can get will be whichever cap is the highest. So in your case, cruelty would decrease defense until it hits -10% and then do no more, while Gnut will continue to decrease it until it hits -30%.

This is correct. Gnut will always eventually override whatever Cruelty you're running.
