cursed city is the newest and probably hardest content in the game. There is a lot of other areas you could potentially make improvements on, which will also help you progress in this new content.

Clan boss should be the number one account priority until you are able to 2 key unm and 1 key nm.

Faction wars completion is actually a good guage for how ready you are for cursed city, since it requires lots of different champions.

Doom tower, lots of free rewards every single month.

Hydra normal is easy enough to get top chest and start working toward mythralla.

Fusions, there is a fusion every month and often offers very powerful champions. Doing the fusion events will naturally make your account stronger as you will need to farm dungeons, rank up champions, rank up artifacts.


Do not waste resources leveling and ascending every champion. Choose specific ones that offer something needed to your account and work on them. There is a massive difference between a 5 star and a six star champion.

As far as your original question of moving foward in cursed city for today 12/16 gear removal is free, so maybe switch around your strongest gear amongst available champions per stage.

@OP - for Cursed City in particular, you're probably better off taking a screenshot from the view you get when choosing champs for the level you're trying to do, as it pre-filters your list to show only those who can be used for that room.

We can also get this info from other sites, though - so, what room specifically are you struggling with?

I am struggling on the very first boss rooms C5 or C8 and I have put a screenshot of the champions I have available.

C5 should be manageable. Make sure you use Ninja to freeze the spiderlings, and then you should be able to just burn the boss down. The hardest part is surviving the initial attacks. I'd probably try something like Ninja + Soulless + Akoth + Skullcrown + Gamuran, relying on Gamuran's passive to revive anyone who dies.

As for C8 - you might have to put that aside for now, unless you can just burn the boss down before the bombs explode.

@MamaNox .... You are never too old.  I am 76 and play this game.  The forum gives great advice.  And if you hit  brick wall that is part of the game.  A few days or weeks later you will advance.  

I dont understand what each of the SYMBOLS mean so i can never strt the battle because i out in the wrong fighter to battle please explane what each sybols means thank you 

Easiest way is to click the champ icon when forming the team, since it pre-filters to just the ones you can use.

for Stage 8 Bommal u can try with Crimson H., Magnarr, Souldrinker, Spirithost if u got,

 she can do normal and hard supporting ur team vs. bommal...

u need high resit, healers, cleansers, 

for dmg poisons or bombs...

What are the conditions? How do they work? I get what the symbols mean, but what is the relevance of the colours?

The symbols are for which factions are eligible (which i think should at least have a hover-over pop-up that says the name of the faction)

Underneath those symbols, if there are further conditions, it will say in words

for example if it says: 

"rare, epic

Attack, support"

you would only be able to use champs of rare or epic rarity, and only those with attack or support roles

The filter automatically applies and show you your eligible champs, which on a few stages might be a very small selection

Edit: worth noting that Doom Tower secret rooms say it a lot more clearly and easily understandable.

Nothing here so far has given me any help in understading what the condition symbols mean.

@9dad if you mean these, those are the symbols that represent the various factions in game. They show you what factions you're limited to using in that particular stage of Cursed City. To look at the symbols on the flags in the game itself, you can check them out in the Guardian Ring under Faction Guardians.

But if the flags aren't for you and you want it in list form what factions are allowed, click the Champions icon on the first screen above, then open the champion filter and thegame already has the corresponding factions selected for you:

Just FYI, you don't have to complete a new stage to finish that advanced quest. You can just do a stage you have already completed.

Sometimes, certain combinations of champions work better together than others. Try mixing and matching your champions to see if you can find a combination that works well for the stages you're struggling with.

Folks - I am really, really struggling with the Cursed City conditions.

I have this as a condition:

All good - Orcs, High Elves, Banner Lord, Sylvan Watcher.

But having excusively these factions in my team makes no diference - I cannot 'Start'.

What am I missing?

is it a stage that requires a certian minimum number of awakening stars?

I just finished D9(Borgoth hard) with Alsgor and Venomage, and it took 47 minutes of manual battle.

Why not run it on auto? Because Alsgor uses his 15% regen that often gets stolen by the Boss. It's 30% HP heal for a boss that takes 0.001% HP damage from an attack

We need Team Setup in Sin City, every other game mode has it, no reason to make people suffer even more in the new content.
