I challenged Dragon on autoplay, took a nap, and came back to check my winnings: All Coin, NO ARTIFACT DROPS. Thinking this was odd, I moved my team over to Ice Golem, again on autoplay, but this time I watched, AGAIN, All coin, no artifacts!
Are you using multi-battles with auto sell? Alternatively, though you said you watched so I guess that's not the case, are you actually losing those battles but have enabled multi-battles to continue on loss?

Definitely autoselling... they don't appear visibly
