I run a pretty big and active forum elsewhere, and although different iterations of the forum software had automated spam filters and additional plugins to restrict permissions of new members to help prevent it, there were always spammers who made it through. A lot of it is actually manually posted. So although there are ways to limit spam some will always get through. I dread to think how much is filtered out without us ever seeing it!

So to expound on how much is filtered out without you seeing it. Like this forum, in-game chat has a TON of spam you don't see cause it cause it is filtered out before it ever appears.

The extra spam we are all seeing in the game is due to a sharp increase in the number of spam bot messages. Extra servers or something spamming. The same very high percentage of them are actually still filtered out before they ever pop ip.

I got a short ban after being accused of spamming 2 days ago. I know that little about what it is I didn't bother to contact support.

I got banned from the chat feature multiple times.  I haven't been banned in a month so it seems something changed to make it better.  

I was forum banned a few days ago but a mod got it cleared up quickly.  

I have learned not to contact customer support about anything.  They are useless.  

I got a 24 hour spam ban the other day, which was put down to the automated system. Quickly rectified by a mod. :)

Folks are talking about different things here too. Between In-Game Chat, Forum Posts, and PlariumPlay/Forum DMs, there are a few different ways to get "banned" in the Raid ecosystem.

The Forum ones are the easiest to fix. Just shoot me and Dthorne a DM and we'll free you fairly quickly, the next time one of us logs onto the forums to see your message.

The In-Game ones take a bit longer. If you get banned from In Game Chat, just DM me your UM# and the situation, and I will work with Support to remove that ban.

The PlariumPlay/Forum DM system can ban you too. If that happens, contact me on the Raid Official Discord and I will start the process of removing that ban. This is the longest process unfortunately. 

TLDR: Contact me if you're running into a ban for Spam. I will fight the angry, rebellious bots for you!

Are you able to block IP's?

The fact the bots all use VPNs makes this a nonstarter, unfortunately.

Yes! Please figure something out to deal with this issue! I'm seeing posts from years back about the same thing. It can't be that hard to deal with. The chat is absolutely a useless waste of screen space for me. I really, really wish I could just turn the chat off. 

In game chat ? Just go into a random chat room with a weird number , the only spam you will probably see is other pulling champs and whatnot , barely anyone talks in channel 793 if you want to join lol .. the bots usually spam the early number chat room 1-100 ...

Or you could switch to clan chat .. less spam unless you have a social clan chatting together !

The bots definitely have a harder time finding the higher rando numbers. I'm sure they'll track everyone down eventually... lol

I meant higher # for chat channel has less spam and is usually more quiet(no spam or barely any) why you bringing my nemesis into this ? :P
