No plans. Not going to happen. When I asked I've heard players say it would be too powerful. After thinking about it I tend to agree. The difference between 203 and 207 speed is nice. But dialing in 100 crate from 97 without having to find a different artifact and sacrificing some other stat could be op.
The only place where I see it making a difference is switching from Crit Damage substats and Crit Rate gloves to Crit Damage gloves and Crit Rate substats, which is nice, but gets achieved by mid-late game anyways. Are they afraid that raw damage dealers would gain relevance in Hydra or Doom Tower?
Say you have Crit Damage substats on every piece and you're wearing Crit Damage gloves. That's 5 pieces up for glyphing. Even if you make it 10% per glyph maxed, that's 50% CDMG. If you have CDMG gloves and amulet, your CDMG should already be over 200%, probably 250%. A 20%-25% increase for maxed glyphs is hardly OP. A 5* blessing will give you 20%-25% CDMG, and they are not as hard to come by as maxing glyphs.
Tbh if they would make crit glyph I'd never have to use a crit glove ever if I farmed enough
I'm at a point where almost all my damage dealers are wearing CDMG gloves, and that's kinda necessary to get you in the late game....but past that, it's not a game changer. Sure, it gets you from mid-game to late-game, but it's not a magic kill button that unlocks the end game content for you. Ignore defense is a lot more OP, IMO and we have a blessing for that.

I can say I know of no plans to adjust glyphs and what we have now.
With that out of the way: I feel like you're underestimating the difference 50% crit damage will make. This would greatly affect later game builds and I think cause more issues. Also, eventually you wouldn't even want to see crit rate glyphs really show up all that often. Would dilute the pool at a certain point in progression.
Also, are you sure about that ease of 5* blessings coming along for the right champs, so on and so forth? :)
With the Crit glyphs, you'd choose where you wanted them to go, RNG aside.

I'm not saying 5* blessings are easy to come by, but maxing 5 glyph stats seems to be even less common. To get enough 6* glyphs of the same kind to max out that stat on 5 pieces?
Also, they don't have to max out at 10%. Let's say 6%, so 30% extra CDMG IF (and that's a big IF), you have CDMG substat on all 5 artifacts.
To me, seems like a lot of trouble for extra 30%-50% CDMG. Most people will probably have 10%-15% CDMG from it. Just a thought.
