The new chat feature up on the upper right hand corner is nice because you can quickly scroll down to each friend you want to send a chat to. But can you add two or three or four friends to a chat so that you can easily strategize a joint attack for example? That would be a very useful key feature of this chat button.

Not possible at the moment, and I don't think it will be in the near future. I do agree that the idea has potential.
Most BHs use out-of-the-game means of communications to plan anything serious. TeamSpeak, Discord (example), Skype,...
