Once you have a Stage 4 potion, you can use it as a replacement item when merging 2 or 4 items, so the potion acts as the 3rd or 5th item in the merge.

You can only use one Stage 4 potion at a time, and it works on everything except other potions.

Most players save these for longer or more difficult chains, like wildflowers, vases, tools, and similar high-effort items.
