Until they stop being so greedy I would recommend saving your money. 500 Acoins won't buy you anything. Maybe a pilot implant change if not upgraded all the way. Bullshit that you have to pay for that to begin with but when you do the math one Acoin is the equivalent to one penny roughly so to pay $5 to change an implant is such garbage. The greed is so out of control for so little support and game improvement. I feel like a moron everyday I log in at this point.

Definitely save your money! If you spend any, expect whatever you buy to be a steaming pile of shit when they come out with the latest money grab shitbox weapon

I'd say the best deal is the standard gold pass If you play enough games in the week. I treat it like a subscription and with like 8 months I made it to a hanger score of mid 4,000's using that pass and a few purchases for mechs and weapons. 

Ten dollars for 1,000 A Coins and 700,000 credits. Plus the blue prints, skins, etc..

Now compare that to the 500 A coins (plus the avg 25,000 credits) deal you're buying now. The big difference is it's instant, but more made for a quick boost if you're impatient. The gold pass takes a month to cash out the stash, but sooooo fun to do.

The gold pass was a massive boost early on and now it's more for the skins late game. Or to level weapons I've been holding out on trying.

*edit note: stay away from event crates, they will eventually offer the same prize at lower star rating for 20-30 dollars later on. Don't take that bait. You'd have to win the item on like 2 or 3 tries to win that lottery.
