Here's a good idea from the user named VegasMarried.  Ban the URL address they post.  I'm not going to mention it here as I don't want it spread around.

Their  chat  rooms  need  seious  work  and  do  not  think  they  really  monitor.  Sad  :-(

 They have been around for a long time. Its someone/or a team that makes spam bots. At one point plarium was trying to stop it/them, but they failed. The ID is different because its not the same bot. I can find one in almost every room thats not dead. Players can have the same name so if one of them gets banned they just make a new one

Thanks for letting me know.  I didn't know that.  Like was mentioned before, I think it's best to ban their website address.  Then it'll only show up as **************.  Score!  xD

Indeed, it is very easy for the developers to address the issue : add the spam website address to the list of censored words.

The filtering/censoring feature already exists and is implemented, all they have to do is add a new "word" (the website's URL).

And by the way, here's another feature which should be added to the chat : a "Report spammer" button.

I can confirm that the player SYSTEM with the Player ID: 32606119 has already been banned. Unfortunately, the spammers keep creating new accounts, but our Support Team keeps an eye on the in-game chat. Thank you very much for your report!

Agreed.  And I, too, think a "Report spammer" button is needed.

Community manager replied to my post, but didn't address banning the censored word/address link idea.  Hmm.  Maybe they'll get back to us when that's done.

Support Team slacks a bit since the chat bot is up everytime I check.

Is it that hard to ban links in the chat? Or lock repeating messages? Or soft ban somebody if reported by lets say 5 players? Come on...

Why  not  enlist  your  players?    Institute a  report  spam  button.    If  there  are  enough  'hits'  from  this  button  in  a  specified  period of  time,  set  a  flag  that  prevents  the  account  from  posting  to  chat for  a  specified  time.   Three  locks  and  their  account  is  disabled.    

Another  option would  be  to  use  the  same  reprt  spam  feature  and  have  it  alert  a  sysadmin  who,  as  the  human  in  the  decision chain,  can  elect  to  take  action.    This  would  help  prevent  'revenge  reporting'  begween  players  who  are  not  spammers...just  jerks.    Yeah....there  are  more  than  a  few.

I've seen SYSTEM speaking in chat before.   It was right before Christmas.  SYSTEM was spamming with their regular message.  Then, some player started spamming chat with some lyrics to a song they wrote.  SYSTEM shot back with some other lyrics.  

I've seen so many insults directed at SYSTEM with zero response.  So, post some lyrics and see if you can make that fucker scratch and itch.   At least they will be wasting their time being totally unproductive.
