Tournaments are never SP based, it's based on tournament points. Due to these rank droppers, I quitted playing and I'm in pro 3 now. This will be my permanent rank till I obtain a 20k SP hangar

Still, whatever genius thought up the idea to not factor in anything execept the tournament rank for matchmaking must not be very bright.

It's very disappointing tbh, but still regular matchmaking has improved after the update. I could play a couple of CPC/5v5 matches without frustration. Posts like this make me feel like I don't wanna play tourneys anymore. And I don't think I'd start playing even after an actual improvement, cuz Tournaments are a freaking nightmare for me, and they'll continue to be as long as they want it to

Actually that's the exact right way to go about it IMO. You may sometimes encounter people who are much stronger than you inevitably.

The problem to me is actually climbing tournament ranks being a lot more difficult than it has to be because the stupid devs thought it would be a good idea to drop everyone a whole tournament rank after every tournament.

It's to prevent people climbing the ranks too fast, according to night fury. But it's just created the opposite problem where people actually aren't climbing the ranks close to fast enough. If you participate only a little in 1 tournament you actually make negative progress. This was the most stupid fix possible.

The new format of the tournament mainly aimed to eliminate SP droppers which end up taking all the rewards. However, the team is aware of the other issues caused and is working on a fix.

everything was great about tournament until players started to drop ranks for low activity, this throws grandmasters intentionally or not intentionally down to incorrect leagues where they either sit happily and play just enough games to stay in the same league and get 100/100 wins or sit unhappily and next month will drop down even lower after winning 20/20 games. 

This way the league droppers dont even need to play games and lose, its purely everything served for them, just enjoy. 

I assume that players could be losing intentionally if system was not already favoring them, but in this case there could be a suspention system for leaving too many games (not many people would sit out 50 matches of 3-5 minutes and patiently wait the loss so they would for sure just leave the match early to play and leave next). So if they left 10% of games before finish they would be disqualified for a month.

No idea what needs to be thought about it so hard when there are tons of solutions possible and that rank drop is absolutely unnecessary in the first place. 

leaderboards in mech arena = no life playing 24 hours a day and spending hundreds of dollars a month. I can't do that plarium. I have 3 kids and a house to maintain...you really need to lower all in game purchases and balance your game. Tournament is a nightmare and it really seems like all bot players are working for the same team to get rid of me first when there are other mechs standing right next to each other...all moving according to not get shot by me...

two kids here and there is nothing wrong in playing 24/7 if you are a kid yourself and seems to have all time in the world and actually enjoying it (the enjoying bit is what would prevent me from playing 24/7 if i had time, i dont enjoy it that much, only enough for 1-2 hours a day, right now its 10 hangar showdowns and few games to get missions/events done and i started to skip kill from behind tasks, i dont have stupidity in me anymore for that). 

You dont need to spend money to enjoy the game.. you can easily play this game with no money if you wanted, so here i disagree with your lower the prices thing.. but thats not to me to judge as i have only spent 1-5 dollars which were free credits to me from google play.. i dont even remember what it was spent for.. but it was very beginning of the game. I would spend more free credits, i would buy a mech, i still want seeker, lacewing, surge, parasite, nomad.. list goes on.. but im very unhappy with matchmaking and number of bots to eben consider any purchases seriously.

Thats what my 3.5k hangar is for, to use the mech that is nearest to a-acoins rewards and put whatever weapon is required to do the job.. and i do feel like im crap at this game when i do those tasks but such is life in Plarium for now, until i got all the mechs i want, then maybe i will be free from those missions and start to enjoy playing more. 

Im not an SP dropper, i would hate myself if i was one, i dont understand how you could enjoy such easy kills, sometimes matchmaking puts me in against lower hangars and enemies fall like cardboard and it just doesnt feel right..

Started in February i think.. so just about 7+ months like i said..

I dont get into leaderboards and it does seems to be obvious that you need to spend a lot to get into top3, then reward makes it unjustified to me, but if they spend anyway then reward is a happy byproduct and additional bonus to those kids.

And i dont really care about these playoffs anymore, if i get something its cool.. if not who cares. Just figure out what you want from this game, save acoins and credits until you really really need to spend them.. And use your money on your 3 kids and not low prices. Be realistic and compete where you can compete.

I criticize this game a lot in the forums, its very very bad in certain aspects, but the reason i criticize it is not because i hate it, but because i like it and i want it to be a little bit better.. And you cant really blame it for bad prices or no opportunities, look at my hangar i am probably just 6-10 mechs short from having everything i want. And its without money spent and in less than a year. If anything then they rather need to increase the prices and difficulty to get such legendary stuff. They give just plenty of means to have it all, you just need to start thinking a little bit how to get it all.. I was not that smart straight away but i figured it out.

Dont upgrade anything as much as possible, spend on ECR crates only, i used to complete development tasks and it was my mistake. Just recently i figured out that they do extra % chance to get legendary implants few times a month, dont collect your rewards until then from the season:

If they fix matchmaking in tournaments, that would eliminate 90% of the problems (in tournament).
