The reason it happens is so players don't load up one really equipped mech and join a match and dominate. Things you can try to reduce your squad power is removing mods and pilots. You might even be able to get a 5 man squad within his squad power. 

I would use lower level mechs and weapons

And invetory power tell you what all you have its total accumulated power of your mech and wapons 

Hanger power is what you have equped so invetory is always higher than hanger power 

For example you have 10 mechs and 12 wapons but you can equip only 5 of each in hanger, so total 10 mech 12 wapon powers = inventory power 

And what you have equped in hanger is = hanger power 

Both are different 

Also match making depends on how much inventory you have and what level on you are easy way to avoid high level players is remove mods and only use 4 star wapons and mech if possible no legendary pilot 

That's why you will be able to play with new players 

I understand the difference between hangar and inventory powers. My inventory power is 29k, so I have no idea what the 9.125 is that is showing on screen. 

Matchmaking should be based on the specific hangar power that you're taking into the battle. I see no reason why my 4k squad is not legit. I can take enemies with mods and pilots, my brother had them in his hangar as well. But he did face twice as strong opponents, as the moderator said, clearly it's a bug.

Yeah. I almost maxed out one legendary, after that no matter what hanger I played my opponents for all mechs were maxed out legendaries. That was months ago so don't expect a fix soon.

Once you upgrade items machanics chnage this isn't fair but this is what it is 

I have main hanger worth 12k and side hanger worth 5.7k and it works I just told you how it works and how I did it rest is upto you 

I play the game, i know the difference. I know what the person meant to say, that's why I ignored the minor error

they just cant make up their minds what they want matchmaking to take into account.. it's simple, it looks like there is a pure chaos.. they are trying to make a 10 year old system to work with current weapons, mechs, mods and other updates.. what can go wrong.
