i don't think new players been pushed out.. they just seems to be getting smaller rewards, which makes sense to me, if they just started would be a bit unfair to ramp their development with mods by too much..
I had to change one mech to go up to x3 bonuses bracket, instead of 3-4 stars killshot I put full lancer.. now I'm getting x3 bonuses, and actually playing 10 times made me feel a bit more relaxed about losing.. Previously on a lucky day i would get to 1500 points after 5 wins.. or with extra 25 a-coins I would.. not every day was lucky though.. now I don't need a-coins.. but I also have no options on unlucky day :) And 2000 is still more or less unreachable to me, just like it was before..
I liked killshot better but to be honest lancer is quite cool.. I had to do few missions for winning with scout, so I put him forward and was not disappointed..
Its a bit weird that five 4 star common or rare mechs would face five 4 start legendary ones.. wouldn't they? same sort of stars.. I'm not sure, I'm either too used to see legendary mechs against me.. or it's not happening much.. i mean some sort of Citadels with 400 hp... I see them but not too often..
Regarding same power, in a way we all want balance, but.. There are a lot of people who spend money to feel the power.. and if they don't then they might not spend more or leave the game if buying doesn't reward them.. If I was a spender, I would buy mechs to get an interesting experience, i really like how different they all are.. I find their special abilities very cool and fun to play.. the most boring mech for me is Ares then Juggernaut.. my point is that in the interest of developers there should be no balance and fair play but a bit of upper hand to spenders, therefore legendary mechs and weapons.. so if matchmaking was fair they would start losing money.
