I had fun for a bit. At least for me matchmaking feels stable and mostly fair for a while now. I'm still getting some instances of 2vs3 and sometimes it feels like bots are winning matches still. But even those are getting rarer. Used to be I couldn't play for an extended period of time without getting irrationally angry cause it felt like the matchmaker kept cheating me every other game.

Now that that's different I have a different problem ever since the re-balance and addition of the gemini weapon. Everyone in early-mid game, at least where there's minimal or even some mods, FREAKING CAMPS.

Camper mechs and weapons are broken down at these levels because in gear hub all weapons you can get for in game resources are likely to be quite over-leveled as well as above the grade of your mechs (at least if you're f2p). Because you can get legendary weapons starting from tier 3 while you can't get legendary mechs until tier 8. On 4 star attackers you want dual 10 energy weapons so you need to get them to 6 star. On top of that, most players at these levels have no mods. after mod rework they'll likely have minimal mods so it won't help much even when we get mods. This also makes Volti very oppressive at these levels. And I think Deathwalker and Outlaw are broken in general and people LOVE to camp with those.

Almost every battle if you're working with 3 star rare and maybe epic mechs, 5 star legendary weapons. Or 4 star rare and epic mechs and 6 star legendary weapons. Almost every battle with no or minimal mods with anything above that too there will be somebody camping with something. Be it savants, strike rockets, gemini, volti, deathwalker or outlaw. I even end up using savant stalker a lot myself because it's one of the only thingsI can get away with in this camping ass META. I also picked up shadow as like a mini eclipse to avoid all the guided weapon spam and volti and outlaw's abilities. But it's a low energy mech so it really doesn't do all that much damage unless I can get behind my opponent, which of course can be difficult. These problems are all made worse when encountering SP droppers or people who invested all in one mech and weapons combo. Over-level Volti campers remind me of redox campers when the matchmaking was XP based all the p2w bought redox and spammed and camped the abilities to get a ton of no skill kills cause they were way higher level than anyone else except it's worse cause while volti can only target one mech and redox has AOE volti has much more range.

So yeah now I'm not getting angry at the game. But instead I'm bored with it.
