The "Rebalancing Act" - My Opinion

I'm P2W. I like to purchase things if it helps raise my dopamine level. I just want to get this out there so other people who are P2W do not get the wrong idea.

The "Rebalancing"  ...an Opinion:

I feel that these rebalancincing is a take on nullifying mods. In my opinion, mods were introduced in trying to do something fresh, but, are now causing more problems, especially for all the past equipments and loadouts since they were not designed with mods in mind. So, in order to not deal with mods (either because some devs are too hard headed or they need the rent money), you decided to rework the rest of the system.

If you look at the items being released and the rebalancing of past equipments, all of them are somehow and someway being made to counter mods. Even some explainations are stating that they are ment to counter mods.

So, why don't you work on the real problem? Mods. Instead of dancing around the real issue and making the community upset, do something about it. I think you would have so much more room to play with if you didn't trap yourself around those walls (issues) you created.

Again, this is my opinion.

These rebalancing is just giving me an excuse to not spend. With not knowing if the rebalancing will shift certain items to a higher or lower tier, or, is it worth upgrading the current load out, or, which equipment/mech to upgrade, it's pretty much a waiting game for me. And the more I wait, the less I stay interested (as my play time has significantly dropped for this game).

But, My bank account says, "Thank you."

Totally valid opinion, and it is one that is shared by many others including me. The idea of mods and the way they've been implemented are both things I dislike to the extent that I have resisted using mods completely so far. Can't say how long that will last but I'm trying :-).

That said, it's a perfectly good strategy from the company's perspective. In general, if you want to survive games you need mods, and if you want to make a dent in your opponents you need weapons that counter their mods. And now, with rebalancing, you might need different weapons. It ensures that there is always something shiny so demand for stuff stays high.

Of course I'm sure they could have created demand in other ways, but this way they may be getting more bang for the buck.

Tldr: mods are working in their favor so they are more likely to double down on them than change them.

Hello! Thanks a lot for sharing your opinion with us, it's truly interesting.

To put it bluntly, no, the Rebalance is not aimed at dealing with the Mods, but at making the Meta wider. As with all game evolution, before the 1st Rebalance Wave, the Meta was pretty narrow.

Nonetheless, our team is aware of the Mod issues and some updates in this regard are expected. Stay sharp, more news will be posted later 😉
