I have decided to return to this game after quitting it around September 2024. What significant changes have happened since and is the game still a p2w sh*tshow? Thanks for any answers

Hello! It's definitely not p2w as all the meta Weapons and Mechs can be acquired for free 😎
A lot of cool stuff has been released during this time. Perhaps the biggest novelty is the Hangar Showdown Mode - 2x2 duels heavily based on the bot-free PVP battles. The Mode is still under development, though.

That doesn't make it not p2w. Maybe it helps a lot but with matchmaking as it is you can't say MA isn't pay to win.
Definitely still is pay to win.
