One common, totally valid complaint about matchmaking is that humans without mods end up facing humans with mods. But another thing occured to me recently while I was playing such a game. I have no mods, my human opponent had mods (and a 7k hangar against my 5k which I'll ignore in this post), and the bots had no mods.

Assuming a human normally faces bots with mods, that means my opponent (by virtue of being matched with me) has two advantages - a weaker human and weaker bots.

Is that true? What's been other people's experience in this respect?
