I know, when the go to battle they gain experience but what are the criterias ? How much max experience they can gain from a single battle ? Can they gain when they are part of squad but do not particiapte in actual battle ? Is there a detailed manual / explanation anywhere around this topic ?
Any pilot in your hangar (up to 5) gain experience based on if you win or lose a match. Losses are 120 exp per pilot and wins are 800 exp per pilot. You do not have to spawn the mech with the pilot equipped to gain exp.

Nope. Only completing the match will earn exp for those pilots equipped in your hangar.
