RELEASE NOTES: Update 1.14

Greeting, Pilots! Update 1.14 is now live, so take a moment to read through the Release Notes to see what new features we have prepared:

Tournaments

Tournaments are time-limited events that consist of 6 consecutive ‘Heats’, each lasting for 24 hours.

Accessing the Tournament

To participate in a Tournament, you must start a Tournament Battle no less than 1 hour before the current Heat finishes. In order to enter a Tournament Battle, you need either a Free Tournament Ticket or a Gold one. You can loot up to 12 Free Tickets every day from Battle Crates, Free Crates, and Challenge Crates. You can purchase and store an unlimited number of Gold Tickets from the Shop.

Note: You must have reached Division 9 at least in order to be eligible for Tournament participation.

Tournament Brackets

There are 5 Tournament Brackets:

  • Novice
  • Professional
  • Expert
  • Master
  • Grandmaster

Your Tournament Bracket affects the type of reward you can get at the end of the current Heat. The higher your Bracket, the greater your possible reward.

Participating in Tournament Battles increases your Tournament Score, and by that score your place in the Rankings will be determined. At the end of every Heat, you get rewards based on your performance. Keep in mind that you can move between Tournament Brackets during an ongoing Tournament.

For example, if you took one of the top places in your current Ranking, you will rise to the next Bracket after the current Heat has finished. Likewise, if you took one of last places, you will move down to the Bracket below. If you remain in the middle of the Ranking table, your Bracket will not change.

Important Note: All players start every new Tournament in the Novice Bracket regardless of their position in the previous Tournament.

New Battle Mode - Team Deathmatch

We're also introducing a new mode which, for the time being, will only be available in Tournaments - Team Deathmatch. Slug it out with the enemy Team over multiple Rounds and try to destroy as many Mechs as you can before they destroy yours. Win more Rounds than the enemy, and you win the Battle.

Important Note: There are no Beacons that you need to capture in this new mode. Destroying enemy Mechs is all that matters! Your Tournament Score in type of Battle will depend on the number of kills, amount of healing done, number of wins, number of Achievements gained, becoming MVP, and the number of assists.

Assists

When it comes to Team Deathmatch, you earn Tournament Scores not only by destroying enemy Mechs and healing teammates, but also by assisting your teammates in their kills. These Assists count if you dealt damage to an enemy Mech no more than 5 seconds before its destruction.

New Maps

Eight (8!) new Maps were added to the game specifically for Team Deathmatch: Agora, Hanging Gardens, Fortune Towers, Acropolis, Colonnade, High Bridge, Tunnel of Fate, Two Arches.

Apple Sign-in

As of this update, you can use your Apple Sign-in to save your progress and profile information. That is no longer exclusively tied to your Facebook account or Plarium ID.
