Unexpected restriction with promo codes

Hello,

For the past few days, whenever I try to redeem a promo code in my RAID: Shadow Legends account, I always get the message that “this code is only for new players,” even in cases where I know the code should be valid for everyone.

The strange thing is that I have been playing for years and I was always able to redeem promo codes without any issues before, but now I can’t anymore. I already contacted support, but the replies I received were very general and didn’t really clarify my case. Since I have invested so much time in this account over the years, I am really worried about my situation and would like to better understand what is going on.

My questions are:

Is this limitation permanent for my account, or can it be fixed?

Does this mean my account has other penalties?

Is there any risk that my account could be banned in the future because of this situation?

I would really appreciate if any moderator or experienced player could give me some clarity.

Unfortunately that's a bit of an odd one. I wouldn't imagine you're in any change of being banned, but it does feel like you're probably trying to use codes that are meant for new players. I've never heard of players trying to redeem valid codes (not meant for new players) and getting a message in game that the code is meant for new players.

That's 100% one of those that support will have to shed light on because I've frankly never seen this issue in nearly five years of playing the game.

I also wanted to mention that this issue does not seem to be isolated: I have seen several comments on YouTube videos from other players experiencing the exact same problem, where codes that should be valid for everyone show the message “for new players only.”

I contacted the support team regarding the “new player only” promo code messages. They informed me that my account has been marked, but they refuse to give any explanation about why this happened. They also do not address the fact that I was able to redeem codes for years without any issues, and only recently have I been blocked from using them.

I have been playing RAID: Shadow Legends for many years, never used bots, never cheated, and never had any problems with my account before. This makes the restriction very confusing and concerning.

Odds are you're trying to redeem codes that aren't meant for existing/longer term players. Which codes have you run into issues with?

Unfortunately in situations like this we can't assist via the forum as we (moderators) can't see your account or activities on it. This is 100% something that support would have to help you with.

The Codes are midsummer and RAIDVISION. Unfortunately, the support team only responds with automated messages, repeating the same answers without providing any real information about my specific case. They also refuse to explain why my account has been marked.

Odd situation. I don't know when you tried raidvision but i know that one expired quickly, but it should give you a message along those lines when you try to use it - if you did it recently. 

Ultimately though if support has taken a stance then there's not much we can do via the forum.
