I got the quest this morning (After the CB reset, I opened all my boxes before doing any keys) and the first key registered 33M which was correct. then I did 2 more keys with no addition damage being added. I have screenshots for all the screens involved. I saw a few other threads similar to this so its obviously a known issue but doesnt seem common enough to warrant real effort put in to fix the underlying problem.  

I submitted a ticket and was told by customer support that there are no bugs in this area, as it was tested and I appreciate that but this is clearly a bug of some kind. If there is a way to get support on this forum I would really appreciate it.
