Question about Magma shield and reflect damage.

I recently pulled Volcardiac Heart Mythical relic, which provides Magma shield, the shield itself reflects damage. Would this "Barbed Defense" gemstone work for the Magma shield's reflect damage as a booster? Or does it only work for "Reflect damage" buffs?

Also, considering to add the Volcardiac Heart to my Leo as i dont see any good options, he is already at 300 RES so it would be a useful RES bonus, what do you think about Leo pick? or is it bad?

Donnie would be a better choice, you definitely want Golden Elixer on Leo

The heart is probably the single most sought-after relic, used for Titus chimera and hydra teams to provide an additional type of shield which can be grown
