Chimera And The Disgusting 3%-Rule
So guys, I would like to make a plea for the abolition of the terrible 3% rule, especially in Chimera Battles.
In order to increase the Damage and the Trials, I decided to rebuild my Team, switching it from a Protected Gear based Team into a High RES based Team.
I've worked my arse off in the last months farming the required artefacts such as reflex and after I finally made it, I was instantly confronted with the frustrating restart-cycle after the chimera was able to remove the buffs from my key champions, eventhough they had over 600 RES and honestly I'm tired at this point.
The last 5 weeks of chimera fighting have been more like a gambling whether I have to spend 30/40 Min. for a run or 2 hours, because the 3%-Rule decided to kick-in midbattle.
My Suggestion would be: Remove that goddamn rule. What terrible kind of mechanic is this tho, to set very high stat requirement which, once you managed to reach them, can be negated by random unluckiness. This takes the fun and motivation out of the game. To invest time and ressources to build up team for endgame content is nothing but frustrating, because in the end everything is coming down to pure gambling whether your team will make it or not.
The focus should be to motivate people spending resources and building teams, trying different combinations and so on, but you definitly ruin it by making it completly random if the team will make it or not, completly undepending of your stats and builds. It feels like tons of hours, resources and effort goes right into the trashcan if you reach the required stats with the regarded sets but keep failing the run because the doomed curse of randomness do not care about your build, stats and all the effort you've been spending on your team.
So I have to offer two solutions:
Completly Remove the 3%-Rule
or
Atleast Remove the 3%-Rule if you hit certain Stat Value (for exampel: if 555 RES is technically needed, the 3%-Rule will never hit if you reach at least 600 RES)
By that I'd leave it like this. Rant is over.
How do you guys feel about the 3%-Rule? Has anyone the same feeling about it like me, or am I the onliest person running into it and feel mad about it? Maybe it's just me and I'm overlooking something regarding this topic, so feel free to let me know!
