Does this mean there will always be a total guard stack in place?

Yeah kinda curious... if you're fast enough can you just make your entire team permanently immune to damage?

only until your champion gets hit. the stacks are a one and done kind of deal, similar to immutable or bone armor. you might be able to keep it up perpetually in some pve areas, but not in pvp.

Someone smarter than me will figure out a way to make damage immunity permanent.   It has me excited at the possibilities.

Won't ever be permanent, but its gonna be ridiculously annoying.

Definitely not thinking arena - but for PvE, what am I missing? 9-piece says it places a new stack every time you get a turn, so, as long as you always get one turn for every turn they get, aren't you permanently immune?

Each enemy in a wave would get a turn. As soon as one hits you, the total guard stack drops off and you would be open to damage from the next hit.

However, for a Boss fight like Dragon or even Clan Boss, if you are faster than the boss, you would always have a stack up....however, I imagine that Bosses will be immune to the effects of total guard....if not already, then pretty darn quick.

Well, I mean that's the key question right? Are bosses immune?

Most important to me right now is understanding how to strip it most effectively.  The buff description says "each stack blocks all incoming damage and associated effects"....but can it it be stripped in one move by:

  1. A buff remover that doesn't do damage (Madame, Rian)
  2. A single hit buff remover that does do damage (Krixia, Rae)
  3. A triple hit with buff reductuion on each hit (Marius)
  4. A single hit with 3 turn buff reduction (Fabian, Timit)

I would guess "yes" to 1 & 3 and "no" to 2 & 4, but I'd love some genuine information from a Mod.

The main thing about yours is that you are also buff removal is considered a "negative effect".

"As long as a Champion has at least one Total Guard stack, they will be immune to all negative effects except Increase Cooldown, even from skills that do not inflict damage"

Though with it actually being out  now testing for this stuff would be pretty easy to do.

Finally started hard, guess my inventory will be full again soon :)

Has to be a direct hit essentially.  Each hit = 1 stack.

I finally have enough Mercurial gear to build a 6 pc set.  Which champs or battles are best suited for Mercurial gear?
