Rebalancing Tourney Rewards?

A while back, I thought there was a comment by a Mod that Plarium was going to rework the Tourney Rewards to make a bit more sense so there wasn't always a competiton for the best gem placement?

The new 4th place reward that has been popping up in some of the more end-game tourneys certainly doesn't make me want to go for spots 1-3. It makes me want to dial in on 4th place more than ever. That seems counter-productive to making the tourneys more competitve for spots 1-3.

Another year gone by, and 4th place is still the best Tourney placement about 75% of the time.

Tourneys would instantly become more competitve for the top spots if they simply included gems as one of the rewards for taking 1st-3rd. It wouldn't even need to scale up from the 100. Just remove the crappy Bronze Chest and have 1st-3rd include the same 100 gems that 4th place has.

Question is, do you want them more competitive? I quite enjoying finishing like 5-9 and getting some free and easy gems.

I just want gems if I overshoot on a tourney and accidentally take 1st-3rd.

I would think that Palrium would want the tourneys to be more competitive.

Youd think so. Agree that every spot should have gems.
