I'm not in a hurry to get started, it's not great to lose bronze I matches against people with Duchesses and Lydias.
The live part is fun, but my fear is that the drafts will quickly become repetitive. Since you need every essential role covered twice, it incentivizes a very specific type of team. 2 revivers, 2 damage dealers (which makes damage dealers with utility better than pure nukers). Nothing wrong with that style, but we'll be tired of it in no time.

I thought I would be bad at drafting... I was wrong, I am horrible 😆 I'm a multitasking rsl player, and live arena is the least conducive to that play style.
I just tried the mode, did four fights - all were low level opponents (under level 95) and three of them left the battle immediately.
If it stays like that i could live with it, maybe bottom feeding and grinding in the lower ranks is the way to go initially
The last thing i want is more 10 minute fights like tag, but with the extra time waiting for someone to move.
Enjoying it so far. Lag hasn't been too bad but certainly noticeable as is to be expected I guess. Did run into a few opponents that were way out of their league which was not fun in anyway for either of us. I know that the matchmaking will smooth out but seems a simple lock on enemies more than 5 - 10 levels different than you would have helped.

I am really enjoying it so far myself. Happy to not lose points with losses in Bronze while we get the hang of it.
But to auto Live Arena you'll really have to have a really darn great team. Prolly need a Taras, Marichka and Duchess just for starters.... I am having to take a break and get coffee to run a couple quick matches at each window myself, since their is no AFK on this.
I'm liking it so far - a very similar experience to Summoners War, which is good. :)
Duplicates not proven an issue in my first 10 games, but I'm not seeing much counter picking at my level yet.
Sure, faced a couple of far more powerful players, but that's always going to happen in live PvP. Best thing to do is learn from it if you can - watch which combos work well together and how experienced players use their champs.
Looking forward to doing more - but would like to see more rewards available to make people really enthused for it. In Summoners War they offer skins for the top ranks, and could be good to see that here as I know there have been skins for various champs available before now.

Of course there's opportunity cost, my time!
I'm not enjoying myself at all. Ran into Siphi/Rotos, banned the Rotos, left him without a damage dealer, but Siphi + Pythion is too much sustain for me to kill his champs. My phone is now sitting on my desk. Opponent is still at it, bless his heart. 20 minutes in now. the stalemate was clear at the start.
My second impressions are even better than my first. Trying to figure out teams for this is the most interesting thing I've had in this game since Hydra was released.
I agree. I didn't end up with any team I'm actually used to pitting in arena. By my forth match my first pick was basically meant to draw out the opponent.
