As the title states I've been playing just under a month, first account, and f2p.
My current cb team is getting 9m damage on hard cb and is: kael (masteries), daithi (masteries), apo, bulwark, and seducer.
Over the past few days I've opened some pretty highly regarded cb champs. Can anyone suggest me a team that would be better? I was thinking occult, giscard, bulwark, apo, and coffin smasher.

Your planed team sounds good. You lack the crucial leech debuff, but, as far as I see, you don't have any champ for that right now, so we don't have any alternatives to suggest.
I would not invest further in Coffin Smasher. Champs you use in CB should have lvl 60 and warmaster/giantslayer as tier 6 mastery, but you allready have to complete Apothecary and Bulwark and build Giscard and Occult Brawler from the start for your planned team. When that is done, you have probably some more champs and could think about a new team anyway.

So who should I 60 next? Someone that's in my current team that will also be in a future team, like bulwark or apo? Or one of the new champs? I was thinking giscard to help with progression through other content too.

My vote - Morrigaine. Mistrider is a great waveclearer, and Kael can handle boss damage with his poisons. Apo even at 50 should be enough to keep the team healed. Morrigaine will provide CC for the waves, to prevent you from taking much damage.

No, she won't be. But, you need gear before you can really do much in CB - and Morrigaine will help you farm Dragon.
