Upcoming Mods Rebalance

Another update, Mods rebalance, is coming live on April 2. Here's what you can expect from it:

⚙️ Mods unlock for Rank 3 Mechs: Mods will now become available once a Mech reaches Rank 3, regardless of when a player joined.

⚙️ Lower prices: The price of obtaining and upgrading Mods for non-Legendary Mechs will be reduced to make them more accessible for early and mid-game players (Common -50%, Uncommon -40%, Rare -30%, Epic -15%).

⚙️Adjustments to multi-layered shields: Blockade ML and Perimeter ML Mods will have fewer shield layers, but the total Shield HP will remain the same. Minor balance tweaks may be made to this if needed.

⚙️Upgrades will be tied to Ranks: You will only be able to upgrade Mods up to your Mech’s Rank (e.g. Rank 3 Mech → Level 3 Mods; Rank 4 Mech → Level 4 Mods, etc.)

⚙️ Resource refunds: If any of your Mods are at Levels that exceed your Mech’s Rank, the extra invested resources will be fully refunded and the Mods will be downgraded to meet the Mech’s Rank.

Thanks you so much for this update, but are you sure these ones were a good idea?

Why I say this? Well because people have paid money for these items and have spent countless hours trying to aquire these things, yet again, they are getting nerfed. Also, if the rank of the mech corisponds to the rank of the mods, then you are in for a rude awakening. We are already faced against higher players by design, therefore, we will be going against people who have way better mods than us.  How can we be better equipped for players who physically have better items than us, if you nerf the one thing that can give players an advantage.

This is the reason why I didn't invest in MODS. I knew they will do something like this. Sorry for those who invest a lot on upgrade to MAX their mods. LOL

Something fair will be that if the Mechs doesn't have MODS to match battles with others with no MODS too. Or match with Mechs with MODS on the same level.  I have a team with no MODS at all but still have battles with Mechs with MODS and some with maxed MODS.

Wouldn't it be appropriate to refund the entirety of the currency spent on ML shields so the players can make the choice to reinvest in the ML variants if they chose?

Players think that if Legendary Mechs and Weapons price would be reduced and purchase them and upgrade them.

The goal behind these adjustments is to improve long-term balance and make progression more consistent across the game.

The solution to Mods being a problem can not possibly be to widen the power gap between lower level hangers and high level ones. How is that addressing any problems? How can a lower level player possibly compete if they get matched up with a high level one with these changes? It was hard enough already.

In a related note, matchmaking remains a huge problem. I am routinely matched up with players that are double, triple, even quadruple my level in Hangar battles. When will that be addressed?

Hello, I would like to make a request. And what happens is that I bought a long time ago a galvanized shield type module to lancer and I have a very big expense for a theft that I no longer use, I don't know if in the next update this shield could be reimbursed or that at least it would be passed to another mech🙏🏻, for example to my nomad or Surge, and in case it is not possible there is no problem, thank you very much
