I personally think that this specific buff was meant to help Charge Rockets compete more with Storm Racks, though the OP's idea/thoughts could make sense 

i personally think whatever.. we will just live with whatever they innovated. its a positive change for me as its one of my favorite weapons

Charge Rockets can work good even without the damage buff. Though it's what the devs have decided. And one thing I hate in this current season pass is that they are not giving us a champion crate

Hi. The rewards in the battle pass are being rotated based on feedback, that's one of the reasons for the change in rewards. I'd pass your comment on it to the team for consideration.

i actually hate the change where now you need to do extra click to release, i assume i will get used to it, but really autocharge would fix it for good.. now its very weird.. you hold it like stupid and then you still need to click to shoot.. pff.. whatever

Yeah it's muscle memory. When I remember the new mechanic, I prefer it. But sometimes I forget, my fingers continue pressing, I line up the shot, and release! Only for nothing to happen :-). 

Just a matter of time. The new way may not be perfect but is definitely better.

I agree with you, I don't like the change too!  I'm on mobile and the extra click just makes it harder to shoot and the right direction and timing as well....

I hope they consider giving us the options to change!  As they always come up with
