Your Top500 Business Model is so wrong..

It seems it doesnt exist.. or I'm missing something huge somewhere...

So let me tell you a story about a strategy game I played some time ago.. The graphics is from 80s, it's a sort of real-time thingy where every day resets something and basically every second you produce resources.. Then you build army for those resources, capture the center of the map on special events and who holds center for 24 hours wins the server which resets every 3 months or something..

The prices in the game are just from another world, you would need more than 1000$ to win the game by buying army and resources instead of earning them.

But, you may be amazed, but people ARE spening thousands there, the player base is tiny, just like idk.. 100-200 regular players.. 500 maximum! It's more like 100 people with 5 accounts rather than anything else..

What my point is? My point is these guys do it for some sort of prestige who can spend more, not because they enjoy the resources gathering or wars or gameplay mechanics, they dont care about it, all they care is how many wins they have in top of the players list and some of them care about being able to chat crap and punish everyone who objects to anything or goes against them. Some sort of power issues :)

So developers dont fix any bugs, do literarily nothing, a lot less than in this game, but they get huge money for nothing out of those people who get into top10 or whatever. There is a guy who buys everything, logs in once in few days, but will always go to win the center events to win the server. He is there for like 3 years now, stronger than anyone by multitudes and spends thousands while I dont think he cares about game mechnics at all, he wants to see himself in top1.

And look at this game:

Top1 is an SP dropper with crappiest mech, probably spent zero on anything.

That is not a business model, that is bloody crap :)

Guys what is in your heads?

Ok, the second one must be big then, Lets look at guy number 2:

Wow, a proper biggy...

123 000 battles... hmm... And I have 5000 hmm... So to get there I not only need to win but I also need to grind it day and night like I have no life right?

Are you mad?

The money spenders will never do that.. So in short, you have no top list for money spenders.. Who just want to buy the best gear, and win 10 games a day and see themselves as being the best. No, they will never see themselves anywhere if they do 10 games a day. So why spend?

Your top500 not only does not promote sales but it also promote SP dropping more than anything.. WOW.. that is amazing business strategy!!! Well done!!!

PS. I am actually clueless what top500 should be, but for sure not a top of grinders and SP droppers, that is I know 100%. Want it to be attractive for money spenders? Make it reset once a year or once a month or once a whatever length of season, make it show win percentage instead of making people grind 48 hours a day. Hell it's hard with your SP droppers options enabled.. You really screwed everything up. But hey, you have tournament which is really really really close to what you want.. Just 160 games a month does not seems to be realistic somehow.. 8 games a day is really good for me.. but idk.. for money spenders... they not going to be online every day.. They might, but only percentage of them, and that small percentage wants to see themselves in TOP. You have zero options for that.. Introduce top500 spenders or something.. Your playoff events are not good for that purpose, I dont even look at that, i dont read top3, nobody does. You need a way for spenders to show off, you just dont have it. Make some sort of tournament which is 1v1 or 2v2 or 3v3... 5v5 is too much.. Money spenders need guaranteed wins, if you give them crap teammates they lose and what is the point to spend. 5v5 is too many variables.. Oh well.. I dont really know what you should do, nor you care what i say, nor im paid to think for yourselves, but one thing for sure is that what you do now is a joke top500, it's not business. It shows nothing, not only zero money spent indication, but not even skills. It shows who has less life I assume.

"So in short, you have no top list for money spenders"

To be fair, not taking away your other points which i'll get too, but if this is your main point then i'd argue the clan list is where you'd find the most expensive hangars which some clans like WHALE's only purpose is to show off their hangars, or at least I'm assuming from the title.

For the business model, again if the point is players simply seeing themselves at the top besides SP droppers, then the issue neccessarily isn't SP dropping but simply choosing how to promote players to the front page since seasonal players (sp droppers) are plastered everywhere.

They could literally just make a top spenders of the month, of all time, highest power hangars (which again the clan page provides) etc. instead of promoting players that win matches which are filled with SP droppers. They could take it a step further giving hundreds of acoins or merch giveaways to the top spenders, which they indirectly do with the 10K acoins event but it proves my inital point that it's not promoted nearly enough for people to invest.

The SP dropping issue with your photos however is a completely seperate topic but i agree it's a massive issue.

you are probably right, they need to put top 10 in startup popups where they put weapons and mechs for sale. politely speaking i could not care less about clans or who is inside those clans :) i never looked any, its just chat rooms. clans are not real.

Yeah this is completely right. We f2p are grinding 24×7 yet this 9k inventory power players are being said the strongest. Seriously this entire system is a joke. Like hell those guys even stand a chance against high level bots.
