Old player feedback

Old Player Feedback
Nowadays, Mech Arena is giving away mechs for just 30,000 Credits or 350 A-Coins. Many players are buying these mechs for 937,000 Credits or 9,375 A-Coins.
Recently, Mech Arena has also started offering these mechs in Special Crates. This makes many old players feel like their previous purchases have lost their value.
Please stop putting expensive mechs in Special Crates shortly after players have spent a lot of Credits or A-Coins to buy them.

i

I recently bought Mimicker from the Gear Market, but just one week later, Mech Arena offered it in a Special Crate.

Please consider the players who already spent their hard-earned resources on these mechs.🙂

The ECRs help players who haven't unlocked certain tiers have a chance at getting mechs and weapons normally inaccessible to them, giving "F2Ps" a chance. Also, the one in the crate rush is rank 4, while the one in the gear hub is rank 5.

I've also spent a lot of ingame and real monetary resources on items that have been or are currently being offered in ECR. I do not see a problem with them doing it. The mechs and weapons that are currenly offered have been out for quite a bit. It is also a nice catchup system.

Besides, with Plarium playing the power creep game, those of us who puts in the time, effort, more resources (ingame or real money) will always get the newer shinies first.

But, I also believe that these offerings and (in a sense) push to get people to catch up means something big is coming. Maybe the tier X will start to be filled with higher energy capacity mechs and higher energy weapons?

Just a speculation, but, the wind feels different.

I think ECRs workout well for them finantially because

a) people need/want to upgrade new cool mech..

b) pay to win players see new cool mech/weapon against them and want to buy it. I played 1v1 against paying player and same day he bought outlaw which i had in my hangar which I got from ECR, it was also the time when it had -50% ability cooldown.. so they use a lot of tricks to get the money.

c) I would never buy things for real money anyway, so point B would otherwise never happened.

I think their main business is from new starters pay2win.. the other players just know this game too well to spend. Or they maybe get small percentage of revenue from players who always spend, no matter what, and just keep playing this game for whatever reason. But these would be massive guys with full upgrades everywhere and we would rarely see them.

Good reply. You have a good grasp of people who are F2P mentaility but still see why some people would pay. For myself, I like new shinies and instant gratification. It's not about being, "the best from the rest" which others might be paying for. I'm like a kid in a candy store when I go visit places that has a lot of electronics and such (wife hates it). Plarium knows this. They make money from it. The money helps the game further development (and the release of new shinies).

I see no problem with any of this. F2P, P2W; If you have the means and enjoy what you are playing/doing, keep supporting it.

i agree if you enjoy it and spend a lot of time in it there is nothing wrong with it and is no different than paying for a coca-cola or coffee at work or not at work.. you paying for something that makes you happy.

This game makes f2p or p2w equal and matchmaking doesnt care if you bought a weapon or got it from ecr.. I dont know why people moan about whales or p2w, it doesnt make sense..
