Tournament

Why I get demoted with the new season?

I earned the Master rank with hard play.

What... Does everybody get demotetd not only one level but to the next lower rank?

My second account got down from Expert I to Pro I, means now I play against everybody before in Expert I  / II / III.

What chance does anybody from Expert III have now? Nearly zero.

And what chance does anybody have, who was Proffesional before to step up. Nothing, Zero.

The complete system of demoting is purely to lower the rewards. Horrible style from Plarium.

The demoting system is the more or less only thing that is breaking the tournament to pieces right now.. Without it there would be a chance for tournament to be really great.

It will not be easy, trust me, first of all everyone got demoted, so in pro 1 is everyone who was in expert 1 with you. Plus you will get few people from grandmaster and master and expert who just did not play enough games to go higher in ranks, so they played 10 games in grandmaster, dropped down to master, played 10 in master, dropped down to expert and now they coming for you HA HA HA :)

IN FFA I met Surge 7*, Brickhouse 7* with Weapon 12 / 16 7*.

Fair play, american style.

Third place :-)

I see the automatic rank demotions between tournament seasons as having both a pro and cons. The cons are clear. I'll explain the pro.. and it's very dependant on individual experience.

How the tournaments currently work in theory is that opponents and bots get stronger as you rise in the ranks, so at some point you should find yourself in an equilibrium where you neither rise nor fall across games. In practice though, at least in my case, in balance I rose to a rank/level which was too high for me. It's crazy that I was losing most games at master rank last season (I didn't belong there) but still gradually increasing in points over time. I had to deliberately lose multiple games to deduct enough points to reach expert level, after which I had to deliberately lose half my games to stay there.

If I started at the same rank/level in the new season I would have to continue that trend of deliberate losses. Dropping down a rank allows me to play the game normally and have fun rather than resort to such tactics.

To be clear this is a pro only because the equilibrium system is not working out for me. If that gets fixed somehow, then there would be no advantage to this automatic rank dropping across seasons.

OK. Why demote a complete rank? From Expert III to Expert II is ok. But from Expert III to Pro III is ridiciuless

That is a good question for Plarium. Nobody knows why the demote ranks at all, leave alone why they demote a specific number of levels. It would be nice if they explain their reason or even document it in the tournament docs in-game if the reason is a good one.

The one rank drop is necessary for every tournament cycle to ensure that lower SP players don't end up reaching grandmaster and other higher brackets, and it ensures that people stay in the bracket where they have the best chance at winning.

There has to be a better solution bruh. Why can't you do a system that lets players settle in a bracket and stay there?

Lower SP shouldn't be able to reach grandmaster if you made it so the bots had equo levels dependent on tournament rank and put say maxed out legendary everything bots in grandmaster. And if they could why not let them reap the rewards of it? It just doesn't make sense to me

Thanks. So it's for the same reason I mentioned in a previous comment? If so, then that means my experience is a common one?

Would it help to let people choose whether or not to drop one rank? That might give the best of both worlds.. with no potential downside I can see off-hand for either Plarium or the players.

Sorry. That's completly wrong. And irrational.

1. I have two accounts. One was dropped from Master III to Expert I. Second from Expert I to Pro III.

That means the players were compressed to a few levels and stronger players together with weaker players.

2. It's almost impossible to reach higher ranks this way. 3900 points from Exp I to GM III. With winning every match as first this takes 10 days. More realistic 25 points per match means 20 days.  If I don't reach it, I'm at the same point like now.

3. If everybody get demoted by one rank then Grandmaster is empty, or not?

4. The league is based on einning points not on SP. If I reach Master or GM with SP 7000 then I belong to this rank. I earned it by hard work.

5. My second account was Expert I, close to Master III. Now Pro III. I now win more and get more rewards. But therefore the players from lower leagues now get less reward and more frustration.

6. Buisiness side. P2W whales want to win regulary. Against other P2W it is luck or bot choice. No motivation to buy new stuff. Loosing against good players with less stuff is more annoying and motivating to buy bigger guns. So demoting is hurting your buisiness :-(

Have fun :-)

sorry I am probably stupid but how can lower sp player reach grandmaster and higher brackets? :D :D :D

I always thought, probably it's being very silly of me, that if you lose battle then you go down in rankings :) Your comment sounds like it never happens and they keep going up and up and up and reach to the stars :)

I guess it says it all if people like you are in development team :)

Why some ranks drop by 3 and some by 1... The system is like if somebody created it during drunk party

Like the logic is just amazing.. I finished in Master 3 so I drop just by one to Expert 1, but if I finished expert 1 i would drop by 3 to professional 1... So I now fight against Masters 1 because I finished in Master 3, because Master 1 also drops to Expert 1...... omg..

I love it with my 5k hangar I love your system!!! Because I love meeting great people!!!

Could you please explain how a lower SP player can go to higher brackets, given that the matchmaking algorithm is too corrupt which will force a player to lose after some "x" number of consecutive wins. I have valid evidence to support.

I won a couple of CPC matches in a row (IDK whether or not luck was on my side, but with a strong team support I won every single CPC match yesterday until I had to face this match)

Because of this tanker, we lost our match, 3 of his mechs (Tailsting, Silverthorn and Seeker) are so close to be maxed out and he just removed most pilots and implants to drop his SP to a significant amout. He used the these aforementioned mechs to defeat entire hangars of all human players in my team

How can I even survive against these kinds of players with my hangar which you can see for yourself.
