Tournament Glitch

Twice today I left a tournament battle after my last bot died. Both times it says I'd get the results when the battle is over. Both times, upon exiting, my match rewards popped up immediately. Didn't seem to matter whether my team was winning or not, the amount of time remaining, or the number of teammates that were alive on my exit.

It's as if the battle ended the moment I left. I find that hard to believe.

You might of been up against all bots. It will end the match once the only person in the match leaves.

I only leave a tournament match early after I've botted out to avoid being pitted against the same human pilot in the next match. Seems to happen quite often after I've been curb stomped.

You could be right, but I can't recall ever having a tournament match against an AI only opponent.

But, When you leave tournament matches before the battle ends, no rewards are given, isn't it??

I think exitting before the end of a tournament battle means that the player will not get any rewards (like their kills, assists, captures, etc will not be taken into account)

I assume two cases.

You lost all your mechs than you can leave and get the rewards later.

You leave early with "living" mechs, you loose the rewards

No, even if you lose all mechs you are still part of the team. Leaving before match ends suggests you are withdrawing your participation and so your rewards will be revoked. I think ppl should be a little patient and try to wait till match ends, because you might win "sometime later" (though its mostly unlikely to happen in tournaments)

No, you don't lose your rewards if all your bots are killed off. I botted out, left the match, got rewarded as if the match was finished. My rewards were not revoked, in fact, I got them 2 seconds after leaving.

My "reason" for leaving was in the original post. Often times if I wait until the match is over to start a new one, I end up fighting the same player who just curb stomped me. No thanks.

The bigger point is, with time left on the match clock, how was my reward position calculated relative to the remaining bots when one of them is a live pilot? I have yet to have a match end because the only live player left a match early.

It makes it appear as if the system already knows at the very least how many bots AI will kill off ahead of time.

I am not currently playing on tournaments because it's too rigged in my position and frustration increases as I lose countless Tournament matches. Thanks for letting me know how tournament matchamking works.

One possible explanation - if all human players have left the game then there is no need for it to continue in realtime. All the calculations can happen much faster without the visual representations showing on the screen.
