I did at least 1 million dmg attacking the enemy with revokers, of course, someone stole the kill, and I got no assist.
It is 5v5 in the tournament, so besides kills, any assist matters. And the game decided not to give it today.

lol ;) i think you are showing us control points not assists :))
one thing i noticed is that if i shoot even a tiny bit of enemy health and instantly someone else kills i get assist straight away but if do even huge damage and few seconds pass before its killed then i get nothing for it.. not sure if its real or just my thinking that its time delay related

If I showed Control points there would be damage displayed right? I'm not crazy dude, I posted this immediately after the game

What does that mean? As I said this was a round 3, the match was about to end and there were 2 assists altogether
you were all pure killers, no assists :)
