Just because mechs are not good doesn't mean it's useless

Remember just because mechs abilities aren't useful doesn't mean the mech is not good it depends on what you put on it if u want to know how to use a mech properly just ping me but I may not have the best combos cause I just came back but I am understanding all the new features

You're 100% right. The right weapon loadout and playstyle can make any mech shine.

Welcome back, and thanks for offering to help newer players figure out their builds! 😍

Solis is definitely useless now, no matter what weapons you put on it, the only good thing about it was the blind effect because it gave you a chance to compete against stronger mech like deathwalker and outlaw, and also when nomad or surge were coming at you, now it stands no chance and has low hp so it dies easy

i will check Solis this week im actually curious if its any good after buff, i never had it before buff so my opinion will not be a comparison but rather a test of something new.. I love Salvor more than any other mech, lying actually, i like too many mechs, could you make a 10 mechs hangar showdown for me please.. its really really difficult to choose 5. Just thinking of the speed boost if its going to be cool, for example vortex speed boost is a bit crappy.. it slows to turn, and so makes a bit less usefull his ability if you cant hit enemy next to you because you live in some slow motion.. so if Solis is fully flexible when 80% faster then it must be great, but if its in turning slow motion then its useless.

The reverse is also true. Just because a mech or weapon is strong does not mean it is unbeatable. Of course there are exceptions but sometimes a nerf or buff is necessary, but many complaints about specific mechs and weapons (e.g. gemini) are usually because of a lack of experience with/against them. I remember thinking Seeker was unbeatable but we've all learned since then how to handle it.

Same. I rarely used Solis even before its change so hopefully I can evaluate it from a fresh perspective. I tried it a bit but there's a cooldown modifier in effect so will need for that to end first. I do appreciate the speed boost in CPC :-).
