this needs to stop

they need to add boundaries so these stupid jump mechs can't location abuse and be immune to retaliation. especially with stupid weapons like gemini's

You are absolutely right, but adding location boundaries might not entirely help. Maybe damage should be reduced to Geminis and other Guided weapons if players use them from very long range. Nerfing the High Damage and Splash Damage Radius caused by these weapons should be balanced so other mechs can have a fair chance to fight against these players

Specifically regarding gemini the effectiveness reduces as SP and mods increase, so it's not as broken as one would think compared to low SP experiences. Also it's usually fairly easy to avoid if you're facing it, once you gain some experience against it. As with most of such complaints, the root of the problem is less about the gear and more about matchmaking. 

Regarding the OP's point about unreachable rooftop mechs, yes they are annoying (or fun depending on who is on the rooftop :-) ) but beatable in normal CPC and 5v5 games if you have guided equipped on one mech in your squad. I don't like the idea of nerfing weapons that in general don't need nerfing just to fix a specific case.

Maybe a better "fix", again just for gemini, would be to give an "incoming" warning like other guided weapons do. I don't know if there is a reason that gemini doesn't give that warning, but if it is unintentional it should definitely be fixed.

Geminis and other guided weapons aren't really that high damage compared to alot of other weapons, in high power matches were players have maxed mech and mods, guided don't do much damage and it takes a few shots to just get past the mods, 

So no damage doesn't need nerfing on them, if anything they actually need a damage buff

Yeah that's true, but soon as they lock on, players should know they need to hide well, all guided weapons are weak though so I don't get why anyone complains about them, no one should complain about anything really, if some mech or weapons kill a player that they don't like it, then they should just get those mech or weapons for themselves and stop trying to cry to plarium because that's how things get nerfed that don't need to be nerfed 👍

Geminis can surprise you because they are slow, and they definitely do not need a nerf. With mods, it will take several hits to kill. Without mods, yes, they go crazy. It just means be careful and get mods.

my issue was the rediculous location he was in not solely the weapon. not everyone has deep pockets to get these overpriced items. the guy ran up a cricket score because I did not have anything that could hit his location. plus i had the bots to deal with while he nuked mine that spun around in place. mseveral times when I had something a bot appeared and he nuked me while i tried to fight them off. I still stand by the fact these jumping mechs can get into places they shouldn't be getting into. saving credits takes forever if you don't buy the freaking battle pass and you aren't playing everyday as well.

Just get strike rockets, you can easy hit lacewing anywhere on maps with them

Let me just say something,I totally agree that this can be very abused but let's be for real

Who doesn't play with jump mechs? Yes it is very heavily abused but mate you cannot complain if you have a jump mech like lacewing or lancer yourself

Yes Geminis do a lot of damage I agree 👍 but mate it's part of the bloody experience,you can't be mad at that

And also lad realistically,they give a warning and in the image you can see the Geminis coming towards you.Just go to the small cover spot I mean it's pretty bloody easy to go there,I'm not being mean and anything but as a player who uses lancer myself,I will say that it's part of the experience.

Plus you can counter by strike rockets or get a good angel to use different weapons aswell.

Plus Geminis are cheap,the sixes cost 600k and the tens cost 712,500 credits it is not that hard to obtain

Geminis actually do have a decent bit of damage (very similar to EMs in terms of the damage stats), except with a shorter reload and an effective 25% damage boost (because half the magazine hits while the target is weakened), but also they will very often go straight over most shield mods from an altitude like that, and also the client-side rockets are very incorrect sometimes.

Visually you might be behind cover, and like I swear 60% of the time they still hit you

You want to fix the mismatch problems! give us the option to pick our fights. Let us sit in a holding and allow us to see if the opponent is an SP dropping and The whole team is human and 2k sp higher. Allow us to back out any deduction. More people will stay. Less people will SP drop. The Algorithm of beating players  to a pulp so they don't linger mid tier and continue to pay to upgrade is a horrible way of doing busines. I would rather spend 4 hours fighting 12 fair fights than an hour or two getting unfairly pummeled, or unfairly pummeling under powered players. That isn't fun.

One question: are the purple MOD tokens actually being added? Supposedly, you get 50 of these tokens every three days you log into the game. However, I've been stuck at 490 for several weeks now—possibly even over a month.

I think adding location restriction to jumping mechs might make their creative ability to become useless. I'd rather recommend to counter such players using the newer, much stronger weapons. As an F2P experiencing the same issue from playing and losing almost 200 battles from such jumping mechs which are often equipped with Gemini, Savant, Tetra Rifle, Quasher, etc... I think this would be the best solution to this problem, because as a wise person once said, "Diamond Cuts Diamond." I think these players should be given a taste of their own medicine
