combat, victory and division points normalization

Hi, Plarium. Are there reasons for the following:

  1. Tournaments don't give combat points.
  2. Tournaments don't give division points.
  3. Hangar showdown games don't give combat points or victory points.
  4. Tournaments have separate victory points.

If there's no good reason for these, could you simplify the game a bit and just normalize all this so that any of these game modes gives (or deducts in case of losses) points in all three categories, and there's only one pool of victory points?

Why normalize?

  • Consistent pay-off.
  • Less confusing.
  • Less time wastage (I don't have to begrudgingly play a different game mode just to use the points quota).

Point (4) isn't necessarily that bad, but with the new limited number of games in tournaments (which itself I feel is a good thing) the chances of actually using up the tournament victory points quota on a given day are now lower.

I agree.  I only play the minimum of games to get my goals accomplished and between Hanger Letdown and Tournament, I've burned about 1.5 hours at least.  That's already more time than I want to spend with this game given the matchmaking issues.  

I'll add in one more thing, with the matchmaking punishing you if you win 3 matches in a row, getting your victory points is way harder than it should be.  I've noticed that if I win 3 matches in a row, I can guarentee I am matched up against opponents with squad power 3k to 10k higher than mine.  Its hard to get those victory points when you have to lose 3-4 just to win 2-3.
