Is it better to put double revokers or to put revoker and ember gun to use ember gun's effect? I've seen people using both and heard about both strategies. Which is actually better?
I've used both and from my limited experience at the time it depended on the mods on the opponent. Dual revokers could chew through multi-layer mods faster, but otherwise the ember+revoker combo felt marginally better. The important thing of course was for the revoker to be double the capacity of the ember. E.g. revoker 16 + ember 8.
After the mods change and revoker nerfs, I'm not sure. I'm at approx 5k SP and even the bots now typically have at least level 4/5 mods so by that logic pure revokers should be better. But these days I only use revokers on my Surge and still use ember 6 + revoker 12 out of necessity (I got the revokers in some early event at rank 3 and haven't bothered to rank up the 6's :-) ). Whether it's better or not I don't know, but it's fine :-).
i stopped using embers when i got revokers and repeaters.. don't see the reason to come back to it or mix it.. unless you have some cool implants for embers maybe..? I assume by ember effect you mean you want to shoot in the sky and still hit the enemy? :)
