Suggestion To Make Matchmaking Fair

Instead of having your opponants determined by sp and win percentage, which can be explioted easily, I have a different idea to make match making better.

First, each player with under 1000 battles played will be put into their own league called the beginner league. This league opperates by the old sp rules.

Second, each player with over 1000 battles played is put into leagues 1-10 depending on thier win percentage. So, for example, everyone with a sub 50% win percentage is put into league 10. and everyone with a 90+ win percentage is put into league 1. And all the other leagues do likewise.

Then you play people from your league no matter what, regardless of sp. This way the better players and the players with better bgear naturally rise to the top. Once someone reaches 1000 battles, they are put into their corrseponding leauge based on their win percentage, but you cant be put in a league past league 5 (for example) so they dont face really good players until they reach a certain inventory power, say 10 or 15k.

And you still keep the top 500, and anyone who is in it gets a large ammount of acoins depending on where they place.

And these leagues are permenant.

winning percentage is something really interesting.. the exploit i could think of is some of the really "smart" ones would go and lose 1000 battles to then rig their matchmaking in tournaments.. but in general thats a lot harder than decreasing their hangar powers..

Independently they weigh recent games too so you can't do that at all really.

"Then you play people from your league no matter what, regardless of sp"

Why regardless of SP? What is the advantage of that?

Then players will just set up new accounts, get the best sp dropping mech an dominate it, so I'm sorry but this won't work

Because if an sp dropper has a super high win percentage, he will face really good compition regardless of his hanger.

I'm not sure I understand, are you saying everyone is going to go start a new account to dominate the beginner league?

The issue is they don't want fair play. It goes against their buisness money making model.

I would have agreed with that before they make content a lot more accesible through CREs and increased access to acoins, as well as lowering cost dramatically for non-ledgendary items to improve progression speed. I agree that they want to make a lot of money, but they seem to have realised that alienating their customers through pay-walls just pushes them away.

There are two sides to that coin. If a legitimate 2k SP player has the same win rate as a 10k SP player they too will be matched and it would be unfair for the 2k SP player.

Leaving that aspect aside, your idea (if I understand it correctly) seems to match what Plarium are doing with tournaments, which is where SP dropping is the biggest problem. So let's see how it goes! :-)
