"Refund me for NERFed content"

Why does this happen every time stuff gets NERFed? Why do people ask this every time? They're not going to refund you, and they shouldn't.

If they refunded for everything they NERFed they wouldn't make any money. And they'd have to be really careful about not releasing content that's too overpowered.

So how about instead of refunding people for every NERF how about they instead be careful from the start. Release content tha might be slightly underpowered and buff it later. That way if it becomes too OP after a buff they can NERF it and people won't be able to complain because they can say they're just trying to bring it in line with its intended performance. Which would make sense because it didn't release super OP.

Or perhaps people should just try to be more "glass half full" in life and accept the reality around them, namely Plarium is a business, as such they have to make a profit...and if you don't like the T&Cs that allow them to balance the gameplay (read: nerf OP content), then the point to make a stand against that practice is before you make a purchse. Because once you do, you have accepted the terms.

Do they release content that's OP deliberately? Probably. Can you blame them? You can, but should you? Any business marketing a new product will make it appealing, that's neither right nor wrong, it's the reality...

Put it this way, any business, honestly any business sooner or later will stop selling (or investing in) a loss making product. So if you really love this game, the best thing you can do for yourself is to support the growth of the company who sells it, and they can only achieve it by taking your hard earned money!

Yeah it's something I can live with but I would prefer and I think a lot of other players would be happier if content slightly underperformed on release so it could be buffed later

Agreed from player perspective that buffing an item you purchased is a much better experience than the other way around (I know, I bought Salvor, great to see it buffed), but...from a company P&L view doing so won't drive sales (I doubt Salvor sales were great at the point of launch, but I speculate here of course) and is not a great business model either. In fact, imagine Apple selling a new product with a camera that matches the current market average camera, and expect that will make people want to switch and spend? Clearly they have to have a stand out feature that will drive sales, and that's exactly what Plarium are doing, I really can't see how that's wrong for a business to do.

I think tbf to plarium lots more content gets released underperforming. They just have to not wait until complaints grow too large and do a major rebalancing to buff most things when they're also NERFing a bunch of stuff.
