Another thing about Hanger Showdown

This is another reason inventory power should be included in the matchmaking. Why do I get teamed up with this dumb***? First 2 on the list were our opponents, and I get teamed with this "special" person that is 3rd on the list. 2.98k??? WTH are they thinking???

All the showdown battles were the same. The second one I was teamed with a 5.31k player. And the other 3 ended up on the othe team. Those were 3.43k, 4.58k, and 3.58k. I don't want the low players on either side of these matches. This doesn't make any sense at all. At least I still won 3 of the matches.

Thanks for your feedback, will take it into account!

I won't say something new as the work is still in progress. Will keep you updated!

For now, I’d recommend balancing your Squad as much as possible by keeping your Mechs and Weapons at similar Grades and Ranks. This should help improve your Matchmaking experience!

How would balancing my squad help against others that have figured out how to cheat the system? I've had my squad balanced and I still go against people with unbalanced squads.

On my second acount, my squad is balanced as you suggest. The only thing that might be throwing it off is the 2 rare pilots. But I still go against players with maxed out mechs and mechs from 3 to 6 stars all with mods. So please tell me how I can balance my squad to stop all that.

Do what they are doing and unbalance your squad. I had to do it. Seems to work 70/100%.

In this case, I wish the rewards were way higher.

My suggestion improves the Matchmaking, not the prevention of the SP dropping. Our team is working on fixing this issue 🪛

It actually doesn't improve matchmaking no matter what the devs say. SP dropping is so prevalent because one, it's allowed, and two, matchmaking is so completely broken, players are kind of pushed to do it to complete events, score significantly in tournament, or simply just to win a battle.

Your 'team' has been supposedly working on this issue for over four years now 🤦 based on past history of this subject, nothing is actually being worked nor does your 'team' care about game imbalance...

Mind boggling how you can work for a company that outright lies to their player base while using you as their mouthpiece to do it...

If it doesn't address the sp dropping, it can't improve the matchmaking.

I know I can sp drop myself, but I don't want to cheat like that. I just want a fair and balanced game for everyone. Everyone that sp drops or tanks or anything else to get an unfair advantage to gain more wins, just prove the sad side effect of people getting participation trophies other ones that actually mean something. If I won every game, I would get bored fast. If I lost every game, I would get more frustrated then I am now and quit. I guess for some people, it makes them feel better about themselves winning a simple game like this because of what is going on in their real lives.

The work on the SP dropping prevention is in progress.

Maybe they should account for your win/loss record and if you consistently lose, they start putting you against other players with lower win/loss ratios. If you always win, then you should go against other winning players.

Then it doesn't matter what mech or weapons you use. I think it is virtually impossible to correctly match players based on any hanger metric because in the end, it tells you nothing about the skill of the player.

Though they haven't revealed exact details, they have said that they account for wins and losses. The problem IMO is that they don't put basic guardrails in place. For example, just because I've won a few games doesn't mean my 5k hangar should be pit against a 7k hangar. With power values being the way they are, even a small difference in squad powers can indicate a big disparity in actual squad capabilities. I'd created a post a while back that describes simple guardrails to help such situations (and guard against tanking) without shaking up whatever other logic they employ.
