Addressing the Tournament "SP Dropping" Crisis for New Players

As a beginner, it is extremely discouraging to enter Tournaments only to be systematically eliminated by high-level players who manipulate the matchmaking system. These "SP Droppers" artificially lower their total Squad Power by equipping weak filler Mechs, allowing them to enter lower-tier brackets with a single maxed-out "God Mech." This creates an impossible environment for true beginners who lack the weapons to fight back, turning what should be a fair competition for A-Coins into a one-sided slaughter. Plarium needs to implement a matchmaking system based on a player's highest-owned gear rank rather than current active Squad Power to protect the new player experience and keep the competitive scene healthy.

Said this before and I'll say it again. Matchmaking could do with some guard rails that plarium won't implement for one reason or another.

And we could do with longer matchmaking timers for control points and 5v5. That plarium supposedly can't implement for reasons I don't understand.

Since this problem has been going on for years without resolution and Plarium has made it clear that SP dropping is not cheating and they have no plan to prevent it from happening, I think everyone should start doing it. Let's all run 1500 squads. Can't beat 'em, join 'em.
