Players killed and immediately respawning with same mech in FFA.

I had this occurring three or four times, and I reported a player for this. You kill somebody and they respawn with the same mech immediately in FFA. Some fellow player said they may pre-suicide (some maps allow suicide) so that they can have the same mech two times consecutively. That's not the case as I observed this at the beginning of a game and if you suicide your score may become negative. Any thoughts?

It could be deathwalker, but SP droppers (tankers) also do this quite often. If they lose their main "tank" mech in FFA, they suicide the others to revive the "tank" mech. You're right that it reduces the kill score, but in FFA tankers can have up to 30, 40, or even more kills. So a deficit of 4 becomes immaterial.

In normal FFA rules, getting killed should force a respawn with a fresh mech, and the only way someone gets the “same mech twice  is if they voluntarily self-destruct before dying which obviously wouldn’t apply at the very beginning of a game, and it shouldn’t happen instantly after you kill them

I reported a complaint similar to this to a customer support person thru email. They told me there has been a glitch where you can bypass the revive timer. So because it is something that the game does allow, they do not consider it a cheat. And they are ok with it since they have done nothing to fix this glitch. Compared to almost all other games, this is the only game I have seen that allows "legal" cheats. And no matter how many times you complain, they don't seem to understand basic game play and why they are cheats. I think everyone involved with this game has never found a game they were good at, so they allow all sorts of legal cheats to they themselves can finally win it a game.

Hello! Be sure that our team is aware of this issue, and we are working on the fix 🪛

Couldn't find a separate topic for what I wanted to ask about specifically, but this topic is quite close, so thought I would re-use it. It only started several months ago (I think) but for the first few minutes of playing FFA human players seem to be able to respawn just before being killed. I originally thought they were using the "Change Mech" button, as the duel started with full health, but it also happens when they have a sliver of health left, are engaged in a fight with another mech, and I then shoot and think "there's no way they can change mech now" but still effing respawn and I don't get my kill either way. It feels like they are using a mod that does it for them? It's absurd, sometimes I kill 5 human mechs and get 0 kills, because they all respawn at the last second...has anyone else experienced this?

most likely it was there last mech and since you renew when you use all 5 they all respawn for you to pick. they prob just used 5 and last was the 1st he used 2nd time . Or if its that V level mech that back tracks as its skill .

that theory is not uncommon. I came to same conclusion and also there is the employees that play. If they dont care about it then they need to make how to do it common knowledge

It happens right after the game starts, so can't be their 5th mech, if anything, same players that do this can only do this at the beginning because later in the round when I have killed them for the third of fourth time i do get the kill.

Doesn't happen with bots, bots give me a score regardless when in the round I kill them. I can't believe it's only happening to me?
